On National Missing Persons Day, the Bernalillo County Sheriff’s Office honors the ongoing work of our Missing Persons Unit and recognizes the families who continue to search for answers about their loved ones. Behind every case is a person who is deeply missed and a family that deserves closure.

Benjamin Smith has been missing since July 4, 2017. He was last seen in the area of Raven Road and Skyland Boulevard after leaving his residence to go for a walk. Ben left behind his cell phone and never contacted friends or family again. His disappearance is considered suspicious, and despite extensive law-enforcement efforts and continued investigation, Ben has still not been located.
